Objective

The Controls Engineer/Technologist 2 leads portions of design and commissioning tasks, troubleshoots complex automation issues, and contributes to maintaining project timelines and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Project).
• Demonstrates a highly reliable work ethic and consistent dependability.
• Proficient in the design and development of hardware panels.
• Applies PLC programming with a strong level of proficiency.
• Capable of supporting and developing general HMI programming solutions.
• Possesses proficient knowledge of VFDs, servo systems, and drive controllers.
• Recognized as an expert in PPE requirements and safety practices.

Current Hours And Starting Time

• Full Time, 40 hours per week.
• Overtime may be needed.
• Hybrid work environment, including some time in automotive plants.

Project Specific Knowledge (Either Ford or GM Experience)

Ford NextGen/GVOSS

• Proficient in system hardware design: connectivity, custom panel design.
• Proficient in logic design.
• Proficient in HMI design.

GM G22

• Proficient in system hardware design: connectivity, custom panel design.
• Proficient in logic design.
• Proficient in HMI design.

Legacy PLC5 (Any experience in this field is a bonus)

• Aware experience in system hardware design: connectivity, custom panel design.

Physical And Travel Requirements

• Requires travel to job sites as needed.
• Must be physically capable of: climbing a two-story ladder; walking one mile within 20 minutes; carrying a laptop across job sites; lifting up to 30 lbs without difficulty.
