Job summary

BioSource International, Inc. is seeking a Controls Leader for the McCalla, AL facility to drive power and process control systems, equipment maintenance, and technician development to achieve reliability targets.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and training of E&I technicians, while coordinating with engineering and operations on equipment installation and KPI drive. This position is on-site and requires strong leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required; Electrical engineering preferred.
Minimum 5 years of controls experience in manufacturing.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLC and Rockwell FactoryTalk platforms.

Responsibilities

Assist plant leadership as primary administrator for power and control systems.
Lead the site masterplan for power and controls systems, including replacement planning.
Develop and coach E&I technicians; manage daily direction.
Ensure compliance with NFPA and OSHA electrical guidelines and safe practices.
Validate MES data from PLCs and support data conditioning for analysis.
Design and implement control strategies, HMI designs, MES applications, and KPI development.
Collaborate with engineering and operations to identify losses and reduce them.
