Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor degree in Engineering or Naval Architecture at an accredited university.
• Maintaining a minimum 2.0 GPA (4.0 scale).
• Successfully completing the fourth semester of the discipline curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic engineering calculations.
• Creates, changes, or maintains technical documentation for ship design products.
• Interfaces with suppliers on engineering specification inquiries.
• Evaluates and solves technical issues in product development.
• Updates and validates Purchase Specifications per internal guidance.
• Updates Vendor-Furnished Information per supervisor guidance.
• Performs 2D CAD red-line markups from supervisory engineers.
• Supports cost saving activities.
• Generates reports as required.
• Interfaces with internal and external customers on technical matters.
• Participates in field surveys and related tasks for the Field Engineering group.
• Maintains engineering procedures to achieve deliverables related to cost, reliability, and manufacturing objectives.
• Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
