Job summary

Quest Global in New York is seeking experienced Control System Engineers for gas and steam turbine controls development. You will design and validate control logic, sequencing, interlocks, and protection, with hands-on experience on DCS, PLC, and turbine control platforms. Preference for GE Mark VIe, though other platforms are welcome.

You will collaborate with global teams on plant controls, participate in commissioning, testing, startup support, and optimization of turbine and plant systems.

Qualifications

• This is a core controls engineering role with hands-on experience in logic development for turbine/process control.
• Experience with Steam Turbine, HRSG/Boiler, and BOP controls is required.
• Knowledge of control philosophy, sequence, interlocks, and protection is essential.
• Experience in commissioning, startup support, and field troubleshooting is preferred.
• Familiarity with modern turbine/plant control systems and simulation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify control logic and sequencing for Steam Turbine, HRSG, and BOP control systems
• Develop interlocks, permissives, alarms, trips, and protection logic
• Work on control loops, functional logic testing, and system validation
• Review control philosophy, P&IDs, signal lists, and cause‑and‑effect diagrams
• Identify and resolve discrepancies before software implementation
• Support software testing, FAT, SAT, SWAT, and commissioning activities
• Coordinate with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams for requirements and execution
