Job summary

Hussmann in Bridgeton, MO is seeking a Controls Engineer to lead development, validation, and release of electronic control products for Hussmann equipment. You will translate customer needs into robust control solutions and collaborate across Product Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Field Service.

Responsibilities include design documentation for control systems, testing, debugging, and supporting software validation.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic control systems and PC-based applications.
• Understanding of refrigeration control concepts and sensors.
• Experience validating control system functionality at multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Capture functional requirements and create design documentation for electronic control systems and PC-based applications.
• Coordinate with suppliers and development partners to improve designs for cost, quality, reliability, and functionality.
• Review system-level control assemblies including embedded PCs, PLCs, power supplies, displays, sensors, wiring harnesses, and interfaces.
• Analyze and validate electronics and third-party components for compatibility and regulatory compliance.
• Perform system- and component-level validation, testing, and analysis for proper control operation.
