Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a skilled engineer to join the Stationary Power Conversion Controls team within the Electrification & Energy Solutions division.
You will develop and validate real-time control algorithms for inverter and charger controls using MATLAB/Simulink to take models to validated product. Work focuses on identifying, simulating, and integrating electric power sources (Battery, Recip Gensets PV) and building expertise in power conversion systems, with on-site collaboration five
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and strong analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with real-time control development and model-based design.
Responsibilities
- Model Electrical & Hybrid Power Systems.
- Simulate grid connection studies for renewables and BESS.
- Evaluate controller requirements and develop power conversion strategies.
- Assess new products, processes, or systems.
- Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other units.
- Contribute to design of new products and processes.
- Perform product and process maintenance.
