Job summary

Echo Electric, a Sonepar brand, seeks a Controls Engineer to maintain, design, program, test and quality-check projects. You will collaborate with associates, customers and manufacturing partners to deliver control engineering, panels, sub-assemblies and switchboard work.

The role involves creating schematics and BOMs, programming PLCs, HMIs, SCADA and VFDs, conducting startups and commissioning on site, and developing documentation to support ongoing service and upgrades.

Qualifications

• College education in Engineering or Technical studies.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Ability to multitask, manage workloads, and solve problems.
• Capable of collaborating across teams and communicating solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create schematics, layouts, system designs and drawings for projects.
• Produce bill of materials for assigned projects.
• Program PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, sensors and VFDs as required.
• Assist with estimates and quotations.
• Design prototypes and provide technical assistance on projects.
• Conduct startups, commissioning, and debugging on site.
• Support project scheduling and coordination.
• Develop and assemble documentation for internal and external needs.
• Maintain knowledge of products, solutions, and services.
• Respond quickly and deliver detailed information for customers.
