Job summary

Matrix, Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer for on-site direct hire to advance our engineering solutions projects. The role focuses on PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, control panel design, instrumentation specification, and commissioning support.

You will work closely with clients and senior engineers, delivering high-quality control systems. Ideal candidates will have a BA/BS in engineering, 3+ years of related experience, and familiarity with Rockwell/Cimplicity; PLC/DCS/SCADA/HMI

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in engineering or related discipline; technical degree and equivalent experience may be substituted.
• 3+ years of directly related experience in process control and/or manufacturing and/or information services.
• Rockwell and Cimplicity experience preferred.
• PLC, DCS, and/or SCADA/HMI design, development, and deployment.
• Strong leadership and client relation skills.
• Experience with collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint) for remote teams.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, Word; SharePoint a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead controls engineering projects from requirements through commissioning.
• Develop PLC and HMI/SCADA software; design control panels.
• Coordinate with clients and senior engineers; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide documentation, testing, and field support.
