Job summary

Autoneum Holding AG in Norwalk, California, is seeking an experienced Electrical/Controls Engineer to support production, drive improvements, and ensure equipment reliability across the plant. You will program and maintain Siemens PLCs, lead Fanuc robot troubleshooting, manage plant electrical systems, and collaborate with product launch teams on new equipment and process changes.

Strong CAD and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 4-year technical degree in electrical engineering.
  • 2-5 years plant electrical and controls engineering background in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with robotics troubleshooting and programming (Fanuc).
  • Minimum 2 years CAD experience.
  • Experience with Siemens PLC control equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Program, document, and maintain PLC controllers (Siemens primary; Allen Bradley is a plus).
  • Program, document, and maintain Fanuc robots.
  • Manage plant electrical systems.
  • Assist with specification of plant floor IT systems and shop floor reporting.
  • Work with Product Launch Teams to ensure successful launch of all new product launches.
  • Lead capital projects to bring them in on time and on budget; finalize equipment layouts and other estimates; commission equipment prior to startup.
  • Direct outside contractors on capital projects.
  • Assist in establishing priorities for manufacturing products to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Develop and update PMs and TPMs for new/altered equipment/processes.
