Job summary

Autoneum is seeking a Plant Electrical and Controls Engineer in Ohio to program and maintain PLCs (Siemens) and Fanuc robots, design electrical systems, and support shop-floor IT and reporting. You will guide capital projects, layout equipment, and help improve process efficiency.

Applicants should have a 4-year electrical engineering degree, 2–5 years in manufacturing, CAD and Siemens PLC experience, and strong problem-solving and Six Sigma capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 4 year technical degree, preferably in electrical engineering.
  • 2-5 years plant electrical and controls engineering background in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with robotics troubleshooting and programming (Fanuc).
  • Minimum 2 years CAD experience.
  • Experience with Siemens PLC control equipment.
  • Comprehension of statistical methods used to perform data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability in technical problem solving related to manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Programming, documentation, maintenance of PLC controllers (Siemens primary; Allen Bradley is a plus).
  • Programming, documentation, maintenance of Fanuc robots.
  • Assist with plant electrical systems.
  • Assist in shop floor IT systems and reporting.
  • Lead capital projects and finalize equipment layouts and detailed estimates.
  • Commission equipment prior to startup and oversee external contractors.
  • Develop and update PMs and TPMs for new or altered equipment/processes.
  • Assist training for new production process launches.
  • Support SPC data control and root-cause analysis initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
