Job summary

dormakaba is seeking a Controls Engineer based in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements to plant controls to boost productivity and efficiency across manufacturing.

You will work as a SME, applying electrical controls knowledge to optimize processes and train colleagues in proper machine controls usage. Qualifications include 2+ years in a related field, a bachelor’s degree in controls/engineering, and proficiency in ladder logic and PLC

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a related field.
• Ability to read/write ladder logic.
• Ability to create PLC code from scratch and troubleshoot during installation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze plant equipment controls processes, design and implement improvements.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software/programs and processes affecting manufacturing equipment.
• Interact with Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Fanuc controls systems.
• Collaborate with others to detect problems and implement solutions.
• Learn and train associates in machine controls usage.
