Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, and support automation and control systems for our premium window and door manufacturing operations. Qualifications

• Experience designing and programming PLC/HMI control systems for manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to document control systems, drawings, and standard work instructions.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA/NEC electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI-based control systems for manufacturing equipment and lines.
• Integrate sensors, drives, and automation components to improve production quality, safety, and throughput.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams on new equipment installations and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain control system documentation, drawings, and standard work instructions.
• Analyze equipment performance data and implement control changes for continuous improvement.
• Support root-cause analysis, downtime reduction, and corrective actions for automation-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and Marvin engineering standards.
• Provide training and technical support to maintenance and operations teams on control systems.
