Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, and support PLC- and HMI-based automation for our premium window, door, and skylight manufacturing operations. You will develop and optimize control systems, integrate sensors and motion control, and troubleshoot complex equipment issues to improve safety, quality, and throughput.

You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams, support commissioning of new equipment, maintain documentation and standards, and

Qualifications

• Experience designing and programming PLC-based control systems for manufacturing.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and designing panels.
• Experience with commissioning, startup, and validation of automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and optimize PLC- and HMI-based control systems for manufacturing equipment and production lines
• Integrate sensors, motion control, and automation hardware to improve equipment reliability and throughput
• Troubleshoot controls issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent corrective actions
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams on new equipment and process improvements
• Develop and maintain electrical and control system documentation, schematics, and standards
• Support commissioning, startup, and validation of new or upgraded automated systems
• Implement safety interlocks and ensure controls comply with electrical and safety codes and company standards
• Analyze production data to identify automation opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives
