Job summary

Nationwide Technical Search seeks a Controls Engineer to join our Victor, IA manufacturing team. You will support automated equipment, troubleshoot complex control-system issues, and lead upgrades to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI development, and robotics integration. Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift on-site with full benefits and relocation assistance is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or equivalent.
Manufacturing experience with automation systems.
Proficient in Allen-Bradley PLC programming and HMI development.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs.
Support robotic systems and automated work cells on the plant floor.
Diagnose electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues during production shifts.
Develop SCADA configurations, maintain communications, and write scripts to improve usability.
Lead plant-wide equipment upgrades and software migrations.
Design mounting brackets and fixtures using CAD; assist with fabrication.
Back up control logic and safety parameters; mentor technicians.
