Job summary

Emtech, LLC is seeking a Controls Engineer to develop PLC, HMI, and robot-program code and to design electrical control panels at customer sites. The role involves commissioning automation systems and troubleshooting in live environments.

You will work with EtherCAT, UDP, and Codesys to integrate robotic systems, collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineers and a technician team to ensure safe, high-performing solutions. Travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Controls/Electrical/Computer Eng).
• Experience with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron).
• Ability to read/create electrical schematics and work with networking protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC, HMI, and robot-program code for automation systems.
• Design electrical control panels and wiring diagrams.
• Configure safety systems including guarding and interlocks.
• Commission automation systems and provide onsite startup support.
• Read, create, and maintain electrical schematics and document results.
