Job summary
ManpowerGroup’s client in Sterling, Illinois is seeking a Controls Engineer to join the Engineering Department. You will create PLC and HMI applications for weighing, batching and material handling, assist with electrical design and project approval, and conduct in-house and field checkout of control panels and equipment.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with Allen Bradley hardware, including PLCs like CompactLogix and ControlLogix, VFDs, and Soft Starters.
- Proficiency with Rockwell Software products such as Studio 5000, RSLogix, and FactoryTalk Studio ME/SE.
- Experience with CAD software, preferably E-Plan, DraftSight, or AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of industrial controls, sensors, and troubleshooting techniques.
Responsibilities
- Create PLC & HMI applications for weighing, batching, and material handling systems
- Assist with electrical design and project approval tasks
- Conduct in-house and field checkout of industrial control panels and equipment
- Provide customer support during system start-up and troubleshooting
- Develop detailed documentation including sequences of operations, front panel layouts, and instruction manuals
