Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Experience with PLC programming and HMI development preferred.
• Experience developing hoist control systems and programs preferred.
• Demonstrated project management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, PowerFlex drives, ABB ACS880 drives, and EasyPower is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as engineer on mid-size and large projects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a team of engineers and designers.
• Design and implement control systems for hoists, vertical belts, and other electrically powered equipment.
• Design power distribution for tunnel boring machines and related systems.
• Develop PLC programs and HMI applications.
• Commission hoists, vertical belts, and skip loading systems on project sites.
• Collaborate with vendors to specify and procure components.
• Review designs for fit, function, and accuracy.
• Ensure designs meet customer requirements and internal standards.
• Test and troubleshoot control systems at on-site UL panel shop.
• Travel intermittently to project and customer sites for commissioning.
