Top Echelon Software, LLC, an industrial automation company in Milwaukee, seeks a Controls Engineer to design, develop, program, and commission automation systems. You will work with PLC/HMI platforms and travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of controls engineering experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept to completion.

Formación

• Bachelors degree in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics or related field.
• 3–5 years of controls engineering experience.
• Proficient in PLC/HMI programming for industrial systems.
• Knowledge of Rockwell, Siemens, CoDeSys, Ignition and related platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and program PLC and HMI systems using Rockwell, Siemens, and other platforms.
• Manage project lifecycles from design through commissioning.
• Perform on-site installation, start-up, and commissioning (travel 15–20%).
• Provide remote and field technical support via phone or site visits.
• Collaborate with customers to assess needs and propose control solutions.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and project records.
• Support internal panel shop, testing, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Uphold safety, quality and compliance standards on all projects.
