Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and field technical support via phone or site visits.
• Collaborate with customers to assess needs and propose control solutions.

Position Summary

The Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, programming, and commissioning automation control systems. This includes creating and modifying PLC and HMI programs (Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley, Codesys, Siemens, Indusoft Ignition, and others). The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of controls engineering experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and programPLC and HMI systemsusing Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, and other industrial platforms.
• Manageproject lifecyclesincluding design, documentation, programming, testing, and commissioning.

• Proficiency inPLC / HMI programming(Rockwell Automation, Siemens TIA Portal, FactoryTalk View, CoDeSys, Indusoft Ignition SCADA)
• Proficiency withAutoCAD Electricalor similar design tools.
• Strong knowledge ofindustrial control systems, motion control, sensors, pneumatics, and networking.
• Ability to manage projects and answer questions for other engineers.
• Excellenttroubleshooting, communication, and project managementskills.
• Ability towork independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Capable of lifting 40 lbs and climbing ladders.
• Validdriver’s licenseand proof of insurance required.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card Permanent Resident of the U.S.
