Job summary

Hunter Recruiting seeks a Controls Engineer in the Fort Worth, TX area to oversee instrumentation, process controls, and MIS systems. Responsibilities include PLC hardware/software maintenance, tuning control loops, and developing HMI screens and alarms.

The role also covers project management of electrical-instrumentation initiatives and MIS-related projects. The position requires a bachelor’s in engineering and 5–10 years of instrumentation/control experience, with knowledge of Allen-Bradley

Qualifications

Degree in engineering required with instrumentation focus.
Experience with PLCs, HMI and control systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs.
Willingness to work extended hours on-site or remotely as needed.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair and program various control systems.
Develop ladder logic and graphical interfaces for PLC and control computers.
Create documentation for control programming and interlocks.
Stay current with industry best practices and emerging tech.
Provide training and support for I&C initiatives.
Install and maintain process devices (VFDs, sensors, valves).
Develop wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and specs for on-site/outside engineers.
Lead site projects with production engineers to maintain instrumentation and SCADA.
Create automated reports using PLC/HMI software.
Support site security and IT systems as needed.
