Job summary

First Quality is seeking a Controls Engineer for its Lewistown, PA facility. The role focuses on designing and implementing advanced control systems for production equipment, and coordinating with engineers, maintenance, and vendors to optimize performance.

The ideal candidate brings a degree in electronics/electrical engineering or related fields and at least 1 year of industrial controls experience, with strong PLC and HMI skills. AutoCAD proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electronics/electrical engineering or related field.
Minimum of 1 year industrial controls experience.
Create and modify schematic drawings using AutoCAD.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong PLC, motion control, and HMI programming knowledge.

Responsibilities

Specify, design, and implement complex control systems and software on production equipment.
Provide training and assist Controls Technicians in solving complex problems.
Lead internal teams to design, install, and startup new equipment and process controls.
Specify and configure DCS/PLC/HMI, servo systems, motors, drives, sensors, and data collection software.
Perform high-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of electrical, mechanical, or process issues.
