Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Controls Engineer for a well-established global manufacturer to design, program, troubleshoot, and improve PLC-based automation systems in a modern manufacturing environment. Relocation assistance to Russell Springs, KY is provided, with a salary range of $90,000–$130,000 per year and opportunities to work on automation and capital projects.

This role requires Rockwell/Siemens PLC experience, preferred Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, and strong

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of controls engineering experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong PLC programming experience with Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley (Rockwell).
• Experience programming HMIs and configuring industrial networking.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support PLC-based automation systems.
• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots.
• Design electrical control systems for automated manufacturing equipment.
• Support commissioning and startup of new equipment and production lines.
• Configure and maintain variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Troubleshoot electrical controls, networks, and automation hardware.
• Develop control system architecture, documentation, and standards.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Manufacturing to resolve equipment issues.
• Support capital equipment projects from concept to implementation.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and equipment reliability.
• Assist with industrial automation integration and controls procurement.
• Ensure compliance with change management and safety standards.
