Job summary

IntePros is seeking a hands-on Controls Engineer to support and optimize automation systems in a highly automated manufacturing environment. The role leads controls projects, improves equipment reliability, troubleshoots plant automation systems, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Locations available: Smithfield, UT or Monett, MO with 100% onsite work. Relocation assistance is available, including relocation bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of industrial controls engineering experience.
• Strong experience with SCADA Ignition (Vision & Perspective).

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, HMI, and automation systems.
• Lead controls and capital automation projects from concept through commissioning.
• Improve equipment reliability, uptime, and production efficiency.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to identify and solve manufacturing challenges.
• Support automation upgrades, system modernization, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• PLC programming experience (Rockwell/Logix preferred).
• Experience in manufacturing or highly automated production environments.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, industrial networking, and troubleshooting.
