Job summary

First Quality seeks a Controls Engineer to develop and optimize electrical controls for multiple manufacturing lines. You will design, install, and commission DCS/PLC/HMI systems, align with safety standards, and mentor technicians across projects.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, hands-on controls experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. On-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1 year industrial controls experience.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical theory and PLC/HMI fundamentals.
• Experience creating/modifying schematic drawings with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Observes OSHA and safety rules; uses proper safety equipment at all times.
• Leads and supports technicians to design, install, interface, and start new equipment.
• Specifies DCS/PLC/HMI, servo systems, motors, drives, sensors, and data analytics software.
• Performs high-level troubleshooting and data analysis to improve performance.
