Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Controls Engineer for an onsite Brookfield, WI role. The contract-to-hire position focuses on developing and improving manufacturing equipment, with emphasis on electrical controls, safety systems, and integration of PLCs, HMIs, servos, VFDs, robots, and vision systems.

The role requires collaboration with Advanced Manufacturing teams and Operations PLs to meet schedules and maintain robust documentation. Onsite work and a strong emphasis on Allen-Bradley platforms are key.

Qualifications

• Experience designing electrical controls and safety systems.
• Ability to integrate PLCs, HMIs, servo and VFD drives and robots.
• Familiarity with NEC/NFPA/ANSI standards and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development of new manufacturing equipment and improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering staff to ensure schedules and documentation.
• Design electrical controls concepts and schematics for machines.
• Demonstrate strong motion control and programming skills.
