Job summary

Automotive Manufacturing Company in Detroit, MI is seeking a Controls Engineer to join the Engineering Department, supporting Production, Maintenance, and Automation Teams. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication skills to drive improvements across automation projects.

Responsibilities include providing direct line support for PLC, CNC, and HMI systems, troubleshooting issues to maximize uptime, and designing optimized control

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation.
• Strong Siemens PLC programming experience.
• Knowledge of HMI systems and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and debug complex automated systems.
