Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, build, and commission automated control systems for our advanced AI training campuses. The role focuses on cooling plants, electrical distribution, liquid cooling loops, and data halls, with hands-on development across the Memphis/Southaven campus.

The candidate will deploy and commission BMS/EPMS/SCADA/PLC systems, write PLC code, and ensure NFPA79/NEC/UL508A compliance while collaborating with a small, highly motivated team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of professional experience in automation and controls for industrial applications.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and commission automated control systems for critical infrastructure.
• Architect, write, and debug PLC code with maintainable structure.
• Lay out electrical control panels compliant with NFPA79/NEC/UL508A.
• Create electrical, pneumatic, and fluid schematics.
• Develop HMI screens and troubleshooting feedback.
• Deploy processes into live campus operations including BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and PLC systems.
• Manage schedules and budgets to ensure project completion.
