Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Controls Engineer II to design, model, simulate, and implement advanced control algorithms for battery systems and power tool technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of hardware and firmware engineers to deliver next-generation control strategies.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field, 2+ years of industry experience, and proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, and embedded C/C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of related industry work experience.
• Working knowledge of model-based control development utilizing design tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
• Working knowledge of closed loop control theory.
• Ability to travel 10% of the time (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Design, model, simulate, and implement advanced control algorithms.
• Develop, analyze, maintain, and document control system architecture.
• Use MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow for development and testing.
• Collaborate with Hardware and Firmware Engineers to optimize algorithms.
• Conduct experiments, simulations, and data analysis.
• Validate algorithms using lab equipment and tests.
