Job summary

Our client in Pontiac, MI, seeks a Controls Engineer to support the Facilities Maintenance department. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize building automation systems, PLCs, and control systems to enhance reliability and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in industrial controls, experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Tridium platforms, and CMMS tools such as Maximo and Corrigo, plus a degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and building automation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize building automation systems, PLCs, and control systems.
• Respond to preventive maintenance tasks, work orders, and service calls.
• Manage building management systems, including Tridium platforms, and coordinate with contractors.
• Create and maintain backups of PLC, HMI, and VFD software parameters monthly.
• Provide emergency after-hours support for critical systems as needed.
