Job summary

Syncreon Consulting is seeking a Controls Engineer to design and program PLC-based control systems using Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000/Logix Designer. The role requires strong electrical understanding, PLC programming, and ability to interpret schematics.

Occasional travel for customer support and commissioning may be required, with daily commuting to our Pontiac, MI facility. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to troubleshoot, test, and optimize control

Qualifications

Experience programming PLC-based control systems.
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000 / Logix Designer.
Experience with FactoryTalk Optix, or strong Rockwell HMI experience with the ability and willingness to learn Optix.
Familiarity with electrical controls, sensors, I/O, and instrumentation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Understanding of PLC programming concepts such as sequencing, interlocks, alarms, fault handling, analog signals, and data handling.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with electrical, mechanical, and other technical team members.
Ability to manage priorities and work independently when needed.
Willingness to occasionally travel for customer support and equipment commissioning.
Ability to commute to our Pontiac, MI facility on a daily basis.
