Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer I to solve complex problems and drive improvements in a regulated manufacturing environment.

You will lead small teams, mentor colleagues, and manage time effectively while contributing to innovative healthcare solutions. You will collaborate across engineering and production to ensure compliant execution, perform validation activities, and support the start-up of new equipment and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Experience in a regulated industry is a plus.
• Strong accountability and ownership are essential.
• Strong leadership and project management skills are expected.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develops or participates in solving project-specific problems.
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborates with manufacturing and other functions on regulatory compliance.
• Writes/implements validation activities and reports results.
• Designs tests, analyzes data, and reports results.
• Performs studies on new equipment and start-up data collection.
• Initiates or revises protocols and operating instructions.
• Leads change control activities for equipment.
• Provides training and technical support on the production floor.
• Interprets and recommends policy modifications where needed.
• Assists in design, installation, and startup of new equipment.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues on existing equipment/systems.
• Coordinates with multi-functional teams on new product lines.
