Job summary

Aurora Dairy Corp. in Columbia, MO is seeking a Controls Engineer to lead the implementation of new equipment and PLC work. You will maintain the industrial network, collect shop floor data, and assist with technical issue resolution across the plant.

You will interact with ERP and factory efficiency systems, mine data, and support capital projects. Expect 24/7 plant operations and travel as needed to support projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or Certification in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or industrial programming.
• 3-5 years’ experience in management and employee development.
• Experience working with Rockwell’s FactoryTalk and RS suite of programs.
• Experience with industrial networking and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
• Thorough understanding of plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report deviations from HACCP & SQF programs to supervisor.
• Maintain plant industrial systems at optimum efficiency.
• Program systems to interact with ERP or factory efficiency systems.
• Data mining for plant and coordinate operations.
• Assist in programming for plant capital projects.
• Make changes to current systems to meet operational needs.
• Assist in equipment selection and project implementation.
• Support Maintenance Manager during projects.
• SQF development, training, implementation and compliance.
