Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking an Engineer who will assist with new site construction, expansion, renovation, and process controls across a single plant, with occasional support to other locations. You will work on electrical engineering design, HMIs, and control systems to ensure process stability and efficiency.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 2–4 years in a food-industry setting, and familiarity with ControlLogix, HMI, schematics, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering (preferably electrical engineering) or related curriculum.
• 2–4 years of multi-disciplinary technical experience in food industry (preferably dairy).
• Experience with HMI and ControlLogix Programming, one-line and electrical schematic design, electrical equipment, or related technologies.
• Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Gather and provide information on controls, electrical design, construction, and maintenance matters; identify issues and suggest solutions.
• Organize and maintain process controls and electrical engineering documentation to support process stability and efficiency.
• Support the implementation and upkeep of process control and electrical engineering plans for the assigned location; coordinate activities with vendors and contractors.
