Job summary

Mt Olive Pickle Company is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, implement, and maintain control systems across multiple production facilities, ensuring high performance, reliability, and efficiency of manufacturing processes.

You will apply your expertise in automation, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA, lead automation projects, and collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to support continuous improvement and compliance with food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in controls engineering, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
• Experience with project management, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
• Develop control system solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Lead integration of new equipment and automation technologies.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics and SOPs.
• Provide on-site and remote support across facilities.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and electrical codes.
