Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. (LGESMI) seeks a Controls Engineer to design, program, and troubleshoot automated equipment for EV battery manufacturing in Lansing, MI.

You will work with Mitsubishi PLCs and integrated systems to improve yield and productivity in a highly automated facility. The role involves collaboration with internal teams and external vendors, plus occasional on-call support to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• BS or AS in electrical engineering or automation preferred.
• 0–3 years in industrial controls; manufacturing experience a plus.
• Exposure to controls/electrical design and manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Program automation and controls systems using Mitsubishi PLCs.
• Monitor, modify, and debug logic for start-up and testing.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams to resolve production issues.
• Support on-call production activities as required.
