Randstad USA is seeking a Controls Engineer in Lanham, MD to lead controls cabinet design and HMI/controls coding efforts for a contract role. You will work on safe, reliable energy grid projects with a focus on standards compliance and integration across multiple projects.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering and have 4+ years of controls design experience plus 2+ years in HMI coding, with strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in controls cabinet design.
• 2+ years in HMI/controls coding.
• Experience with US/Canada standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and modify 3D and 2D controls cabinet drawings in advanced software environments.
• Set up and configure industrial network hardware and leverage VMware for virtual machine and thin-client solutions.
• Support procurement engineering with package development and vendor document reviews.
• Review and integrate customer requirements while managing milestones across projects.
