Randstad USA is seeking a Controls Engineer in Lanham, MD to lead controls cabinet design and HMI/controls coding efforts for a contract role. You will work on safe, reliable energy grid projects with a focus on standards compliance and integration across multiple projects.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering and have 4+ years of controls design experience plus 2+ years in HMI coding, with strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Salary: $83.02 - 88.02 per hour

Work hours: 8am to 5pm

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and modify 3D and 2D controls cabinet drawings in advanced software environments, adhering strictly to US and Canadian standards.
• Set up and configure industrial network hardware (switches, firewalls, routers) and leverage VMware to design robust virtual machine and thin-client solutions.
• Support procurement engineering with package development, conduct thorough vendor document reviews, and ensure design compliance with quality assurance procedures.
• Review and integrate complex customer requirements while managing milestones and schedules across multiple controls projects simultaneously.
