Job summary

Power Flame Incorporated, a Power Flame site in Parsons, KS, is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design and validate electrical systems for burners and combustion controls.

Under general supervision, you will read diagrams, create schematics and BOMs, program controllers, and support manufacturing from concept to production while driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with NEC and NFPA 70 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field; combined training/experience acceptable.
• 6+ years of engineering experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of electronic circuits (digital/analog), VFDs, soft starters, and fiber optic cabling.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70, NEC, and C1D2 environments.
• Able to design 3-phase 600V power systems and 240V AC single-phase systems.
• Able to troubleshoot 3-phase power systems and design/control panels.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in design reviews, releases, and changes.
• Communicate designs and changes with internal customers.
• Read, understand, and discuss technical requirements, plans and drawings.
• Lead Product Design & Development processes to meet specs.
• Collaborate on cross-functional teams from concept to production.
• Perform design-for-manufacture assessments to support lean manufacturing.
• Interface with vendors to locate and approve components.
• Maintain design documentation and ensure drawings are up to date.
