Actalent is hiring a Controls Engineer in Maple Grove, MN to design, program, test, and commission control systems for commercial buildings. You will work hands-on with HVAC controls, energy management, and platform integrations, delivering reliable OEM solutions in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in control systems engineering or commissioning.
• Experience with control integration, including electrical schematics, HMIs, and field devices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control system architectures for applications.
• Develop control system architectures for new products, including hardware selection and software programming logic.
• Develop and implement sequences of operation based on project specifications and customer requirements.
• Program control logic and systems to meet customer requirements, specifications, and standards.
• Create control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and system architecture drawings.
• Conduct testing of control systems on test benches or prototype machines and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to controls hardware and software.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver effective control solutions.
• Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including control system drawings, wiring diagrams, and system specifications.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and per customer specifications.
• Maintain and improve internal processes to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
