Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Building Controls Engineer to support design, programming, commissioning, and ongoing support of building automation systems for commercial clients in the Greater Boston area. You will work closely with project and service teams to deliver reliable, efficient control solutions.

The role requires 3+ years in building automation or HVAC controls with proficiency in BACnet/Modbus and various BAS platforms. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with building automation or HVAC controls.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control logic.
• Experience with BAS platforms and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement BAS control strategies and sequences of operation.
• Program and configure BAS platforms (Niagara, ALC, Siemens, Honeywell, or similar).
• Create and review control drawings, I/O schedules, and submittals.
• Perform system startup, point-to-point testing, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot and support controls and system integration issues.
• Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and customers.
