Responsibilities

As a Permanent Controls Engineer (BAS), your main responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing control systems that improve construction operations and production efficiency.
  • Developing and executing projects to improve process control and instrumentation.
  • Programming and configuring the Building Automation Systems (BAS) to meet the project requirements.
  • Collaborating with project teams to understand and integrate control requirements.
  • Ensuring all control systems and strategies comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving control system issues in a timely manner.
  • Providing technical support and training to team members and clients.
  • Participating in project planning and providing expert input in relation to control systems.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in control engineering.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the role of Permanent Controls Engineer (BAS) should have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Controls Engineer in the building automation industry.
  • Proven experience programming BAS systems.
  • Niagara N4 certification would be a plus.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently when required.
