Job summary

Work4ce Inc. in Georgetown, Kentucky seeks a Controls Engineer to own electrical design for stamping presses and related automation upgrades with emphasis on HMI, PLC, and safety PLC systems.

You will lead hardware and software design, review buyoffs, and supervise commissioning activities for automotive press upgrades. The role requires collaboration with engineers, electricians, and millwrights, extensive field work, and travel to customer sites in North America.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering/technologies or technician degree or Equivalent Work Experience.

Responsibilities

• HMI Design: Create new HMI programs using GP-pro software on Proface hardware
• HMI Design: Modify existing HMI programs using GP-pro software on Proface hardware
• HMI Design: Review and verify HMI programs during customer buyoffs
• PLC Design: Create new PLC programs using Studio 5000, RSLinx, IAB, MPE720, PCwin, Memosoft, Simatic Step 7 software on Allen-Bradley, Yaskawa, Toyopuc, Siemens hardware
• PLC Design: Modify existing PLC programs using Studio 5000, RSLinx, IAB, MPE720, PCwin, Memosoft, Simatic Step 7 software on Allen-Bradley, Yaskawa, Toyopuc, Siemens hardware
• PLC Design: Review and verify PLC design during customer buyoffs
• Safety PLC Design: Create new Safety PLC programs using Studio 5000, RSLinx, IAB, Simatic Step 7 software on Allen-Bradley and Siemens hardware
• Safety PLC Design: Modify existing Safety PLC programs using Studio 5000, RSLinx, IAB, Simatic Step 7 software on Allen-Bradley and Siemens hardware
• Safety PLC Design: Review and verify Safety PLC design during customer buyoffs
• Hardware Layouts: Create and modify using IAB and AutoCAD Electrical software
• Panel Layouts: Create and modify using AutoCAD Electrical software
• Field Device Layouts: Create and modify using IAB and AutoCAD Electrical software
• Full Line Commissioning: Provide Full Line Commissioning support before, during, and after installation of various press upgrade projects which includes PLC, Electrical, and Mechanical support
