Job summary

BW Design Group is seeking a qualified Controls Engineer to join our Raleigh, NC team. You will contribute to our Control System Integration Practice by developing automation solutions, designing control systems, and commissioning projects for leading manufacturing clients.

You will work with industry experts, manage project deliverables, and engage with clients and vendors to ensure high-quality, on-time outcomes.

Qualifications

Track record of proficiency in control systems, troubleshooting, and high intensity environments.
Three years of direct experience as a controls engineer in automated manufacturing environments.
Experience designing automation controls systems (PLC, SCADA).
Solid understanding of instrumentation and controls (I&C) and engineering documentation (P&IDs, process flow diagrams).

Responsibilities

Develop automation solutions across design specs, software configuration, testing, commissioning and startup of automated processes.
Design automation control systems and create project documentation and drawings to meet client requirements.
Diagnose automation problems and interface with teams, clients and vendors.
Configure software and hardware packages according to client design specifications.
Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Rockwell) and HMI/SCADA systems.
Communicate plan progress to project stakeholders and manage project deliverables.
