Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking an Engineer to apply controls and automation expertise to solve manufacturing challenges, improve processes, and implement solutions that increase efficiency and reliability.

You will maintain the controls and information system and the Process Safety Management system, troubleshoot hardware and software, and design retrofits to existing systems while supporting multiple projects and on-call hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with instrumentation & controls in a manufacturing environment.
• Professional Engineering License (preferred).
• EIT (Engineering in Training) completion (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Process Hazard Analysis, P&IDs, procedures and electrical schematics.
• Maintain the PLC program, HMI program, database and Information Systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and instrument problems.
• Design, test, troubleshoot, and oversee implementation of new processes; retrofit existing systems.
• Create and implement new strategies and automation processes to improve efficiency.
• Maintain quality assurance on control systems in manufacturing.
