Job summary

Tarkett is seeking a Controls Engineer to support production through downtime troubleshooting and to develop control and process improvements using automation technologies. You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to implement robust controls and drive continuous improvement.

Strong PLC knowledge and experience with robotics and motion controls are preferred. Responsibilities include modifying PLC programs, optimizing process parameters, and mentoring technicians

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in plastics processing, materials, and applications.
• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field preferred.
• Experience with extrusion processes and automation systems beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies for process, safety, quality, cost and delivery.
• Troubleshoot equipment downtime and support production with automation and control improvements.
• Modify PLC programs and optimize process parameters to reduce variation.
• Mentor maintenance staff in automation, controls, and robotics.
