6 Degrees Search in Brown Deer, WI, seeks an experienced Controls Engineer to optimize Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and SCADA systems on high-speed lines. This direct-hire, Day 1 benefits role places you on a 1st shift with flexible start times and a stable employment path.

You will lead PLC/HMI development, SCADA enhancements, and integration of VFDs/servos, collaborating across engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and reliable automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years automation controls experience in continuous manufacturing.
• 3+ years writing/diagnosing Allen-Bradley and Siemens logic.
• 3+ years tracing electrical schematics up to 480V.
• US work authorization and commutable to Brown Deer, WI.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex control networks and high-speed drive systems to optimize uptime.
• Perform PLC and HMI programming edits using AB Studio 5000 and Siemens TIA Portal.
• Enhance SCADA for real-time data, tracking, and predictive maintenance.
• Lead system upgrades and root-cause analysis on equipment retrofits.
• Support capital installs with wiring, networking, and machine positioning.
• Interpret schematics and network diagrams up to 480V to resolve issues.
