Job summary

VulcanForms is seeking a Controls Engineer to provide onsite controls expertise for 3D printing production. You will troubleshoot downtime and partner with mechanical, electrical, software, and operations teams to drive faster resolution and improvements.

The role requires hands-on experience with industrial control systems, IEC 61131-3 programming, motion control, and industrial networking. It’s a 24/7 operation with a Monday-Wednesday plus alternating Thursday shift.

Qualifications

Experience designing, developing, commissioning and troubleshooting industrial control hardware/software.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands‑on experience in Electrical/Mechanical/Robotics Engineering.
Proficiency with motion control, safety systems, HMIs, process monitoring and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

Monitor system performance and health to proactively identify issues before they affect production.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Conduct root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
Maintain records of downtime, incidents, and corrective actions for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to implement process improvements.
