Job description

The Role

As a Controls Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting and improving automated manufacturing and process systems. You'll work closely with engineering, maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, deliver automation projects and improve the reliability and performance of equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, programming and modifying PLC-based control systems
• Developing and maintaining HMI/SCADA systems
• Troubleshooting electrical, PLC and automation issues
• Supporting equipment installation, commissioning and start-up
• Developing and implementing automation improvements
• Working with engineering and maintenance teams to improve system reliability
• Supporting control system upgrades and modifications
• Creating and maintaining electrical and controls documentation
• Providing technical support and guidance to site teams
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification

About You

you'll ideally have:

• Experience working as a Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer or similar
• Strong PLC programming experience
• Experience with HMI/SCADA systems
• Good understanding of industrial control systems and electrical systems
• Experience troubleshooting and commissioning automated equipment
• Ability to read and understand electrical/control schematics
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• A hands-on approach and the ability to work closely with operations and maintenance teams
