Job summary

TXM INC in Joliet, IL is seeking a Controls Engineer for a permanent role at a state-of-the-art distribution facility. You will diagnose faults across PLCs, HMIs, sensors, VFDs and industrial networks (Profinet), coordinate with maintenance teams, and provide on-site support to keep systems running at full capacity.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of PLC experience, familiarity with warehouse automation, root cause analysis, and eligibility to work in the USA.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience writing code, testing, troubleshooting, maintaining and commissioning PLCs.
• Knowledge of warehouse automation such as conveyors, storage & retrieval systems, sortation equipment and small robotics.
• Experience working within a high-pressurized maintenance environment.
• Experience carrying out Root Cause Analysis.
• Eligibility to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults across PLC logic, HMIs, sensors, VFDs and industrial networks such as Profinet.
• Coordinate with onsite maintenance teams and controls resources to support problem resolution.
• Provide exceptional maintenance support to the on-site customer’s installed systems.
• Maintain accurate tickets and technical documentation to support best practices and continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to travel, particularly during the first 6-12 months for training and to support other site locations.

TXM are recruiting on behalf of a leading Automation and intralogistics provider, as they search for a Controls Engineer to join a state-of-the-art distribution facility in the Joliet, IL area. As a Controls Engineer, you will be usingyou will be using your skillset to ensure that the fast-paced distribution facility is always running at full capacity by maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting the PLC, HMIs and industrial networks onsite as well as the supporting equipment.
