Job summary

Job Juncture seeks a Controls Engineer for a World Class Manufacturer near Oneida, NY. You will design and develop machine control systems using AutoCAD, select VFDs and motors, and program Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs while supporting Siemens controls.

The role includes installation, commissioning across multiple facilities with about 30% travel, and hands-on troubleshooting with maintenance teams. AAS or BS in Engineering and 5+ years experience, NEC familiarity, and eligibility to work in the

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in engineering or related field.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code and machine safety standards.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in US without restriction indefinitely.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop machine control systems using AutoCAD, including sizing and selection of VFDs, motors, filters, protection devices, PLCs, and HMIs.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and ladder logic systems, along with Siemens controls support.
• Lead installation, integration, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment across multiple local facilities (approx. 30% travel).
• Provide hands-on electrical and controls troubleshooting support to maintenance teams, including equipment diagnostics, upgrades, wiring, and real-time machine issue resolution.
• Connect to equipment, diagnose control system issues, and modify or develop PLC logic to support production and operational improvements.
